Wish: 2 columns option
« on: September 07, 2011, 12:47:25 AM »
Now that I found the settings for font size :good: I can watch Lyrik on my 50" at 4½ m distance - with fontsizing at 16.

Because of the widthness (is there such a word?) of the text / lines at the new fontsize I haven't room enough to watch my winamp window and Lyrik at the same time. So my solution is to have Winamp fullscreen, and Lyrik fullscreen underneath, so when I want to watch Lyriks I minimize Winamp and there it is. But of course Most songs now wont fit in my Lyrik-window because of the fontsize - I  have to scroll to view the last half of the song... :@

Then I thought: when I have Lyrik in fullscreen - why not an option to view Lyriks in 2 or more columns - this way I can view all the song at one full screen at high fontsize, from my sofa on my 50" tv-set at 4½ m distance.

Now that would be an improvement that made a small but important difference, right? d-.-b  :D

This I would realy like a lot.

I liked your idea, never thought that before.
It would take some time because it would change many text and alignment behaviors, so I'm afraid such thing would be done for next major version (2.x) only, without date for release yet...

Really thanks for your idea,
Willian

By the way - a small request - I guess

When I use my fullscreen-mode as described above, there is a "glitch"

When I click my winamp-icon, winamp starts and so does Lyrik. That's fine, but even though "Allways on top" is unchecked this is what happens in fullscreen:

Lyrik starts on top of Winamp, so what I see is a full black screen (I haven't chosen a song yet so Lyrikwindow is black with windows taskbar at the bottom) that could confuse other people using my music-center-laptop. If you ask me there should in Lyrik be a checkbox that says "start underneath winamp in fullscreen" or how you would frase it. As it is now I have to click the winamp-box in the tasksbar before I see Winamp on screen. How about (with that option checked) winamp is on top from the start, and when you want to swap between the full winampscreen and the full Lyrik-screen you click the winamp-box in the taskbar?

That was a bit complicated to explain in english (not my native language) - I hope you understood, if not just ask.

Greetings.

I decided to give a hand and sent a post into social bookmarks. I hope the popularity will rise in.

erling1000, It happens because Lyrik is shown after winamp window, and it might get in front; I'll take a shoot and try to find a way to solve it ;)

PSimon23, thanks for the merchant ;)

I know I did promise to show up with a new version (3.x) but now I really don't have enough time to start it over from scratch and maintain quality; but be patient folks, Lyrik is still in the list from my "wishes"  =)
